Finance Council:

The Finance Council is a consultative body which assists in the budgeting, monitoring, and controlling of all Mission funds in accordance with Canon Law and the Norms of the Diocese of Charleston as outlined in their Parish Financial Handbook.

Counters:

The Counters Committee is a group of volunteers who count the collection every Tuesday and prepare reports to be turned in to the Finance Council and Leadership Council.

Building Committee:

The Building Committee is comprised of members who have experience or a special interest in developing church centered environments.  Their main goal is to interface with our parish members and convey their needs to our architect and Diocesan representatives.

Children’s Faith Formation:

The Faith Formation Program offers religious education for children in grades K – 6.  The classes meet on Sunday mornings at the Cane Bay YMCA from 8:45 – 9:45 AM prior to our 10:00 AM Mass.

St. Francis Caracciolo Women of Faith:

St. Francis Caracciolo Women of Faith is a group of women who meet on the 2nd Thursday of the month at 6:30 PM at the Wildcat Senior Living, 2101 Cane Bay Blvd.  We gather to further our spiritual, moral, social, educational, cultural, and growth.

Hospitality:

The Hospitality Committee provides refreshments in order to foster fellowship and promote gatherings to celebrate special occasions in our Mission. They also, help organize the bereavement luncheon when there is a funeral of one of our members.

Flower Ministry:

The Flower Ministry organizes the signup and assures that flowers are provided for Mass to enhance our worship area.

Sacristan Ministry:

Sacristans are responsible for preparing the Church for the Holy Sacrifice of the Mass, such as preparing the Altar, the water, wine and hosts and the sacred vessels. Because we have Mass at the YMCA, the job also involves setting up multiple tables.  This committee is always in need of extra help before and after Mass.

Lector Ministry:

Lectors proclaim the first and second readings from sacred scripture and in the absence of a psalmist recite the responsorial psalms between the readings. Also, they announce the intentions for universal prayer when a deacon is not present.

Usher Ministry:

Ushers perform duties such as assisting members in finding seats, taking up collections, presenting gifts, assisting members during Communion and providing leadership during emergency situations.

Music Ministry:

St. Francis Caracciolo Music Ministry is a blend of traditional Catholic hymns and contemporary praise and worship music.  Our music ministry is led by guitarist Al Marsch, who brings 20 plus years playing music at Mass and in music ministry.  The music ministry has a group of gifted singers who bring a beautiful blend of voices to praise our Lord.

Greeters:

Greeters are volunteers who stand at the entrance to welcome our members and guests as they enter for worship.  They offer assistance in finding bulletin and worship aides.  They also maintain a count of participants for each Mass.

RCIA: The Rite of Christian Initiation

RCIA is for adults who have never been baptized in another Christian denomination and wish to become Catholic, or baptized Catholics who have never received the sacraments of Reconciliation, Eucharist and/or Confirmation. Our RCIA program meets every Sunday before Mass at the Cane Bay YMCA at 8:15 AM in the front conference room. Anyone is welcome to attend classes to enrich their knowledge and increase their spiritual growth.
